One thing I remember was that the caretaker who lived in the stone house had a Doberman that ran loose and all the new AF techs had to get to know him or you would never get out of your car when you went to the site on a service call. When the Eastern Mobile Depot Team out of Griffiss AFB was at the site on one of their 2 year check outs, one of the civil service team members was out side of the compound doing his duty in the weeds when the dog spotted him...he just made it to the gate holding up his pants.
