We took down the rubber radomes and put up fiber glass (bee hive) domes in the summer of 1960. Those suckers leaked like seives. They recalked them three times I believe and they still leaked some. Nothing like working on high voltage in the transmitters on the FPS-3A when you are in water up to your ankles.
