Site Location
On top of Mt Baldhead sand dune, west of Park St, in the S ½ of the NW ¼ Section 9, Saugatuck Township, Calhoun County, Michigan
Site History and Findings of Fact
Property was acquired from the Village of Saugatuck in June 1956 and developed as a gap filler annex. It was deactivated on 31 Dec 1968 and the site reverted to the City of Saugatuck, which was the current owner at the time of the 1991 report was released.
Note: the `retired radar dome, easily identified on top of the Mt Baldhead sand dune`, is mentioned in the www.scenariousa.com/mi/allegan/saugatuck.html website.
