Note that many of the planned Canadian gap-filler radar facilities were actually completed.  However, none were ever operational due to the lack of radar-equipment delivery from the Budd Company (which was under contract to the U.S. Air Force to produce a frequency-diverse (FD) version of the AN/FPS-18 radar that would have been designated as the AN/FPS-74).
